Mikulov

Sdružení Krojová chasa Mikulov bylo založeno 25. srpna 2008. Po jednání s mikulovským proboštem Stanislavem Krátkým vzešel termín konání hodů na víkend po svátku sv. Jana, jemuž byl vysvěcen kostel v Mikulově.

Po první světové válce se v Československu začíná rozvíjet skautské hnutí, jehož zakladatelem byl v roce 1911 Antonín Benjamín Svojsík. Na založení oddílu skautů v Mikulově v roce 1927 měl velký vliv skauting v blízké Poštorné, kde vznikla známá skautská Poštorenská kapela.

Lakros v Mikulově neměl lehké začátky. Skauti koupili amatérskou lakrosovou soupravu (takovu tu "pánvičkářskou") na popud Zrzka a Taklbery už na konci roku 2005, ale seznamování s ní přišlo na program až v létě 2006 na letním táboře v Nové Senince na dalekém severu v Jeseníkách.

Jezdecký klub Mikulov má sídlo ve stájích Hlavenka na místě bývalé mikulovské cihelny.

Fotbalový klub Pálava Mikulov

Sportovní klub zabývající se sportovní rekreační střelbou ze všech druhů zbraní. Služby s tímto spojené poskytujeme i veřejnosti, kde mohou využít střelnici na střelbu i pronájem prostor na různé sportovní i kulturní akce.

Jde o spolek teenegerů, kteří se věnují skateboardingu – t.j. skákání různých triků na dřevěné skateboardové desce – druh FREESTYLE. Zúčastnují se různých freestajlových závodů po celé české republice.

Tři antukové tenisové kurty, jeden asfaltový kurt a cvičná tenisová stěna. K dispozici jsou šatny, sprchy a občerstvení.

The Elementary Art and Music School of Mikulov has been a membership organisation owned by the South Moravia Region. The school provides elementary education in all arts including music, visual arts, dance, literature and drama. In addition to the main centre in Mikulov the school operates branches at Valtice and Dolní Dunajovice.

The chorus of the Art Ensemble Virtuosi di Mikulov has built a firm position in the cultural life of Mikulov over the decade of its existence. The ensemble has held regular concerts on the Mothers´ Day and at Christmas. Its members focus on the KAMPANILA festival, featuring special programmes in its context, often in cooperation with other choruses.

Václav Kosmák Dance Studio Morava

The members of the Associations of Musicians of Mikulov include music lovers and musicians of Mikulov ensembles MIKULOVANKA, M-KVINTET, KASANICA, HARCOVNÍCI (youth brass band) and the rock group MIKULOV. The purpose of the association is to improve artistic qualities of the town ensembles, to develop local culture and to allow young talented musicians to get involved in the existing ensembles and bands.

Romenstudio Mikulov was founded in 2004. One of the aims of the studio was to make Romany children and youth to actively spend their leisure time and to get more involved in the cultural life of the town. Thanks to the support from the town and especially the South Moravia Region spaces together with the necessary technical background were made available.

“Today ´s Podyjí region misses most of its traditional population. The places emptied by the displacement have been filled with people from all over the world, some of them settled here for years, others fresh newcomers still. But none of them can claim to be at home here more than others. Either all of them will be at home here, or no one."

The Mikulov folklore ensembles have become promoters of folklore tradition of the region. The extensive activities of all sections of the Pálava O.S. folklore ensemble (the individual ensembles give around 80 performances in Mikulov, as well as at various folklore festivals at home and abroad)  have begun for more than 20 years with the traditional Easter round.

The original Museum Association was founded in 1913. The beginnings were quite modest: enthusiastic members of the association collected antiquities and oddities to first exhibit them in 1922. That was the origin of the Mikulov Museum. The first custodian and later director became PhDr. Karel Jütttner (1883-1959), who extended the reach of the Museum across the region after the War.

The chamber orchestra Collegium Magistrorum has been active part of the life of the Elementary Music School in Mikulov since 2002. The orchestra comprises teachers and pupils of the music school, students of Brno Conservatory and musicians from Mikulov and surroundings.

Stories from the history of Mikulov, theatre performance, shows, dance performances, parades in costumes, meetings with historic figures and more is offered by the local actors´ union. Recently the visitors to Mikulov have learned about the rich history of the town through walks in costumes and theatre performances inspired by local past events.

The Klaret dulcimer band was founded in the ancient wine town of Mikulov in 2000 by musicians with years of practice in renowned folklore ensembles of Moravian Slovakia. In the few years of its existence the ensemble has toured the Czech Republic and many foreign countries many times.
