Klaret Dulcimer Band

The Klaret dulcimer band was founded in the ancient wine town of Mikulov in 2000 by musicians with years of practice in renowned folklore ensembles of Moravian Slovakia. In the few years of its existence the ensemble has toured the Czech Republic and many foreign countries many times.

Sample imageThe most prestigious events where the ensemble has performed include the official opening ceremony of the Ice Hockey Championship in Nuremberg in 2001 (the band must have contributed to the victory of the Czech team!:-)).

Thanks to the quality voice technique, traditional instrument combination and individual talents of the musicians the ensemble has been able to perform not only the traditional folksongs and music of Moravia and Slovakia, but also world evergreens or famous operatic, operetta and film melodies in the ensemble ´s own arrangement.

The Klaret dulcimer band offers its performances at all sorts of events. In addition to traditional performances enhancing the typical atmosphere of Moravian wine cellars the musicians can offer programmes matching representation opportunities, celebrations or dances. In cooperation with local vintners the band has accompanied popular wine tasting and in cooperation with a dance ensemble the ensemble has introduced examples of dances and folk costumes of Moravian Slovakia and Slovakia.

The ensemble currently has four or five permanent members – a violinist, a clarinettist, a violist, a dulcimer player and a double bassist. The ensemble is able to travel anywhere across the country or abroad in its own car.
Pro svá vystoupení používají muzikanti originální kroje, nebo dle přání pořadatele společenský oděv (smoking).
