Educational Tourist Paths

A number of educational trails will lead you around areas of natural beauty and interesting monuments in the Mikulov area: Viticulture Paths, Path across the Jewish Quarter, Děvín educational tourist path, The Turold Educational Tourist Path.



Educationnal Trail at Mikulov Holy Hill

The project Revitalisation and utilisation of the cultural and historie landscape at Mikulov Holy Hill involved the revitalisation of two outstanding Baroque cultural onuments: St. Sebastiani Chapel, with its BellTower, and the staircase to the Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre. In addition, the project included the establishment ofthe Mikulov Holy Hill Educational Trail.

The Educational Trail In the Footsteps of the Baptists

This new educational trail features five panels that will acquaint you with the short but fruitful period when the Baptists settled in Mikulov.

Path across the Jewish Quarter

Path across the Jewish Quarter

The educational path across the Jewish Quarter includes 14 stops on an about 1 km long route. Thirteen houses of the former Jewish Ghetto are marked and described in detail. The route passes through the town centre and is connected to the other foot paths for tourists.

The Turold Educational Tourist Path

The Turold Educational Tourist Path is about 300 m long and equipped with eight information notice boards. The path is designed for foot visitors and the whole route can be covered in about an hour. The Turold educational tourist path is accessible all year round and coincides with the access path to the Turodl Caves. The red marked path is the most interesting one.

Děvín educational tourist path

Covers 11 km of a foot path. The whole tour takes about 4–6 hours. The Děvín tourist path is accessible all year round and its marks are parallel to the marker tourist path. The path includes 15 information notice boards and 3 tourist maps (at the crossings by the Soutěska (The Gorge) resting place, in the upper part of the Soutěska and in the saddle below the Děvičky castle).

This relatively small territory is crossed with several educational paths focused on viticulture. We only mention the sections of the routes belonging to our region.
