For easier orientation in the offer and for a better idea about the possibilities of supplementary programs during your congresses we have prepared model examples of programs of congresses in Mikulov.

We do believe that they can be a good aid in relation to the possible preparation of a real future congress in Mikulov. The below-mentioned accompanying programs will be provided for by the Tourist Information Centre in Mikulov.

A Three-Day Congress in Mikulov for 300 Participants

Mikulov Castle represents deal premises for a big representative congress in Mikulov. It has a large hall for 300 people, fully equipped with congress technology. Also other premises are available there, where it is possible to provide for an accompanying program, satellite workshops and presentations. Moreover, the castle premises can be quickly changed from a congress venue into a presentable social venue suitable for an evening program.

Day 1

  • 4.00–6.30 p.m. Arrival and accommodation of participants
  • 6.30–7.00 p.m. Presentation of the participants
  • 7.00–7.30 p.m. Opening of the congress, a festival welcome of the participants, information about the three-day program, organizational instructions

Evening Accompanying Program

A “folk-art” evening with dancing. You can welcome your business partners and your friends in the centre of Moravian viniculture with good wine, of course, with excellent Moravian cuisine and with the dulcimer music typical of that region.

  • 8.00–8.15 p.m. The dulcimer musical group plays a fl ourish and the Moravian evening can start
  • 8.15–9.00 p.m. A buffet, a dulcimer music show, a display of folk dances, a folk speaker
  • 9.00–10.00 p.m. Guided degustation of local wines under the Guyance of a sommelier
  • 10.00 p.m.–12.00 a.m. Continuation of the buffet, dulcimer music

  • 9.00–10.20 a.m. The fi rst morning block of the specialist program
  • 10.20–10.50 a.m. A coffee break, presentation of fi rms
  • 10.50 a.m.–12.00 p.m. The second morning block of the program
  • 12.00–1.30 p.m. Lunch in the Gajdos Hall
  • 1.30–3.00 p.m. The fi rst afternoon block of the specialist program
  • 3.00–3.40 p.m. A coffee break, presentation of fi rms
  • 3.40–5.00 p.m. The second afternoon block of the program
  • 5.00–6.30 p.m. Free program of the participants

Evening Accompanying Program

You are in a castle which was passed through by history and by its signifi cant players. The city was visited by the Polish king Jan Sobieski on the campaign to Vienna against the Turks, the famous empress Maria Theresa celebrated her silver wedding there, Napoleon, after the Battle of Slavkov, negotiated armistice there. Even nowadays Perchta of Rozmberk, known as the White Lady, who was married to Jan of Lichtenstein and who involuntarily spent her youth in Mikulov Castle, walks through the corridors of the castle. You too can experience the atmosphere of these events; in just a few hours the castle courtyard changes into a historical military camp, the castle halls become banquet halls and brave knights fi ght courageously to win the hearts of ladies at court.

  • 6.30–7.00 p.m. A welcome of the congress participants at the entry in the courtyard – the kastle guard
  • 7.00–7.03 p.m. A fanfare
  • 7.03–7.15 p.m. The opening, festive welcome of the participants
  • 7.15–10.00 p.m. A buffet in the castle courtyard, historical music is played
  • 8.00–8.10 p.m. A show of a group of historical swordsmanship
  • 9.00–9.10 p.m. A show of a group of historical swordsmanship
  • 10.00–10.10 p.m. A show of a group of historical swordsmanship
  • 11.30 p.m.–12.00 a.m. A tombola
  • 12.00 a.m. Fireworks, the White Lady walks on the battlement
  • 10.10–11.30 p.m. Dancing in the Salla Terrena

Day 3

Morning Accompanying Program

  • 9.00–10.30 a.m. A walk through the city reserve with local guides, information about the rich history of the city of Mikulov. The route: the historical square, the Castle Park, the castle exhibition with the giant butt and historical presses, the Jewish District
